NYSERDA recently completed a pilot initiative to increase the energy efficiency of commercial kitchens in New York. NYSERDA is continuing to help restaurant owners and managers of non-profits to find ways of reducing energy costs within their commercial kitchens, including capital purchases that reduce their energy and water use and costs.
Focus on Hospitality encourages Commercial Kitchens to participate in FlexTech, to receive cost shared engineering assessments for your building and commercial kitchen operations. FlexTech can provide full energy efficiency assessments and recommendations for any type of commercial building.
NYSERDA offers incentives on selected high efficiency commercial food service equipment that meet the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) Tiers. Incentives range from $30 to $1000, depending on the model. The below selection is a listing of high efficiency commercial kitchen equipment that are currently eligible for both incentives from the Existing Facilities Program.

For icemakers, CEE provides product listings for Tier 2 and Tier 3 icemakers. NYSERDA eligibilities for ice maker incentives are only for CEE Tier 2 and Tier 3 products
