RTEM for Small Business

Have you considered the benefits of smart building technology, but felt that your small business may be just that, “too small”? Contrary to what you may think, no business is too small to take advantage of the benefits of smart building technology – or Real Time Energy Management (RTEM).

What does RTEM for Small Business look like?

A dedicated solution that provides professionally curated analytics and recommendations to business owners tailored for their space and budget. Quick and unobtrusive installations allow for your business to continue operations without interruption, providing a headache-free experience. Analytics are performed through the cloud, allowing NYSERDA-qualified energy management partners to remotely access equipment data to help guide your businesses’ individual energy performance needs.

RTEM as a Small Business Solution

  • Lower the cost of professionally installed and commissioned RTEM platforms
  • Proactively identify potential issues with your HVAC equipment before equipment failures during critical cooling or heating seasons
  • Leverage cloud consolidated portfolio management and keep tabs on all locations at once from a single user interface
  • Optimize comfort and reduce energy costs with access to experts who remotely monitor your HVAC systems and provide ongoing reporting to you on performance
  • Gain a new perspective on value and understand the true cost per sq. ft. of a building or space

How the Program Works

For businesses looking to take advantage of this cutting-edge technology, NYSERDA is offering a 30 percent cost-share incentive for eligible RTEM project expenses. This may include hardware, software, installation, and three years of ongoing support from energy experts. That means that 30 percent of all eligible costs are guaranteed to be covered up front, so you won’t pay full price or need to wait for rebates.

This is subject to a total incentive cap of $85,000 for both System and Service costs.
