New York State Smart Grid Consortium

The Consortium was founded in 2008 when leaders determined that meaningful progress required the inclusion of all stakeholders to define and work toward a common vision. The Consortium represents a key public-private partnership to promote broad statewide implementation of the smart grid.

It is the only organization of its scale in the U.S. that is committed to representing all major contributors across the energy value chain from utilities, markets, operators, industry, academia, government and end-users.

The NYS Smart Grid Consortium is a not-for-profit 501(c) 6 corporation, incorporated on July 22, 2009, to harness the unique resources of the state as it manages the collaborative development of the smart grid.
