Featured Case Study: Whole Foods Market
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is committed to reducing its environmental impact and supporting the health of its customers and team members. To build its new 56,000-square-foot grocery store in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, WFM participated in the New Construction Program, the Combined Heat and Power Program, and the NY-Sun Initiative. Integrating energy-efficiency measures into the design and construction of the building resulted in annual electric savings of more than 2,500 MWh and annual energy cost savings of nearly $370,000.
