Statement from NYSERDA President & CEO Francis J. Murray Jr.
“I thank the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) for its approval today of NYSERDA’s request to reallocate $25 million in uncommitted funds to support new Technology and Market Development (T&MD) portfolio initiatives. The action taken today by the Commission underscores the state’s commitment, under the leadership of Governor Cuomo, in growing its clean energy economy through innovation, research and development, and technology. This funding will provide support to Governor Cuomo’s NY-Sun Initiative by addressing non-module installation costs. In addition, it will continue NYSERDA’s momentum in developing energy storage and smart grid technologies, and will expand the Advanced Buildings Program to include a deep energy savings initiative in commercial buildings.”
