Malta Business and Professional Association To Hold Inaugural 5K Race Through NYSERDA’s Saratoga Technology + Energy Park and the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta

Runners and sports enthusiasts can get a first-hand look at Saratoga County's innovative technology parks by participating in the Malta Business and Professional Association's inaugural 5K run on Saturday, September 11.

The 5K will feature scenic routes through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) Saratoga Technology + Energy Park® (STEP®) and the Luther Forest Technology Campus, home to Hudson Valley Community College's TEC-SMART Campus and the GLOBALFOUNDRIES chip fab plant, respectively.

Proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Saratoga County Rural Preservation Company and local veterans and emergency response organizations including the Malta Ambulance Corps, Round Lake Fire Department, and Malta Ridge Fire Department.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. in front of the TEC-SMART Campus building, 345 Hermes Road, Malta. Advance registration is $20 and can be done online at www.areep.com. Runners can also register on the day of the race for $25.
