NYSERDA Supports Energy Efficiency at Golub Corporation

Incentives Will Cut Energy Costs by More Than $245,000 Annually

NYSERDA President Francis J. Murray today participated in a ribbon cutting celebration for the new Golub Corporation headquarters in Schenectady.  NYSERDA provided $950,000 for energy efficiency measures that will help the company reduce its energy costs by more than $245,000.

“The energy efficiency measures Price Chopper incorporated into its new headquarters are emblematic of the company’s strong commitment to reducing its environmental impact in operating its facilities,” Murray said.  “Price Chopper’s smart investments in reducing its energy use provide a model for both the supermarket industry and for New York’s business community.

“NYSERDA looks forward to participating in future energy-saving projects with Price Chopper, and congratulates them on the success of the new headquarters,” he added.

In addition to the $950,000 for the Headquarters project, NYSERDA has provided Price Chopper with nearly $1.2 million in funding for energy efficiency measures for Price Chopper’s Colonie store.

Last year, NYSERDA provided more than $25 million in incentives to help businesses reduce their energy costs.
