Vice President for Technology and Strategic Planning
Janet Joseph was appointed the Vice President for Technology and Strategic Planning on January 25, 2010. She oversees a multifaceted energy research program focused on developing and accelerating the market introduction of emerging energy efficient and clean energy technologies in New York. Janet also oversees NYSERDA’s energy analysis and planning functions. Janet has held a variety of technical and policy positions at NYSERDA over the past 20 years including Research and Development Director, Environmental Research Program Manager, Buildings Research Program Manager, and Research Scientist and Manager of Planning. Prior to joining NYSERDA, Janet was a research scientist at Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories. Janet has also worked as an environmental consultant for Booz-Allen and Hamilton in Washington, D.C. Janet has a Master’s degree in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Maryland.
